Someday

Someday you'll cry for me like I cried for you!
Someday you'll miss me like I missed you!
Someday you'll need me like I needed you!
Someday you'll love me, but I won't love you!

Author unknown

This poem pretty much sums up what it says. To understand it, you must have been through a heart breaking relationship.

Watch Your Thoughts

Inspirational Poetry
Watch Your…

By Frank Outlaw

Watch your thoughts,
for they become words.
Watch your words,
for they become actions.
Watch your actions,
for they become habits.
Watch your habits,
for they become character.
Watch your character,
for it becomes your destiny.

"Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become character.
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny."
But who can tell me who it's by?
it has ben proven that SHANNON BLAIR POGUE wrote this poem in 1989 it was sent in to a poetry contest by his aunt the poem was never herd from again untill around 1992 the poem surfaced and made a grand entrance. while MR. SHANNON BLAIR POGUE has in fact ben proven to write this poem he is humble about evryone else taking credit for it and if you wonder what the proof was it was a notorized copy of the poem taken in a picture with MR POGUE holding up the poem witch is clearly able to be read, then a small child. MR POGUE states it wasnt his favorite poem it was somthing he blurted out and those who do try to take credit for it truely do not understand the poems meaning.
"Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.

It's just a compilation of quotes that already existed.

SHANNON BLAIR POGUE compiled quotations that already existed long before 1989.
For example:
Thoughts become words
Words become actions
Actions become habits
Habits become character
Character becomes your destiny
Google any one of those lines and you'll find they all predate 1989.
All Shannon Pogue did was rearrange existing quotes by adding "Watch your" to read:
Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become character.
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny."
Shannon Pogue cannot take credit for "originating" anyone of the lines in her poem.
It simply a compiltation of other people's quotes with "Watch your" added.

It doesnt matter if he SHANNON POGUE compiled a group of words HE still wrote it i know this cause i am shannon pogue i have over 8000 poems i have written for the pas 20 years. yes i took seperate phrases and added them to combine a poem it was for a shhool poetry contest the poem is not that great the fact i sent it in to a state contest and it went missing is sad. i still have the original draft and part two to this poem. FACT IS FRANK TOOK CREDIT SO BE IT I LAUGH GOD WILL JUDGE HIM FOR THIS. I FIND IT FUNNY MY LITTLE SISTER FOUND THIS SITE SO THE RECORD WAS JUST PUT STRAIGHT. THE DEPTHS OF MY MIND GO FAR DEEPER THAN THIS SMALL POEM.

My comment: I love this poem because it is very uplifting and at same time has a lesson embedded in it. The poem is very real and in the lives of everyday people this is so realistic in the way people act.

You Are Not an Accident

You are who you are for a reason.
You're part of an intricate plan.
You're a precious and perfect unique design,
Called God's special woman or man.

You look like you look for a reason.
Our God made no mistake.
He knit you together within the womb,
You're just what he wanted to make.

The parents you had were the ones he chose,
And no matter how you may feel,
They were custom-designed with God's plan in mind,
And they bear the Master's seal.

No that trauma you faced was not easy.
And God wept that it hurt you so;
But it was allowed to shape your heart
So that into his likeness you'd grow.

You are who you are for a reason,
You've been formed by the Master's rod.
You are who you are, beloved,
Because there is a God!

Only You

Only You
© By Anonymous

A person can make you feel high,
A person can make you feel low.
But only you can decide,
Which way you want to go.
A person can hurt you mentally,
A person can hurt you physically.
But only you can place,
A limit on your abilities.
A person can cause drama,
A person can cause a situation.
But only you can create,
Your own reputation.
A person can make you laugh,
A person can make you cry.
But only you can make,
Decisions for your life.
I guess what I'm trying to say,
That when you're living day to day.
Don't live by what people do,
But live by what you know is true.

Comments:
I really like this poem because it makes me think of some life experiences that I have gone through. This poem inspires a person to look past any negativity handed out through life and make a positive out of it. I have taken my personal experiences in life that have hurt me with enormous pain and have used them to drive me to do better than whatever thing is bringing you down. I have started school and love going to the gym. This has given me a positive release of built up emotions that could have been expelled in a manner that could make matters worse.
