This poem pretty much sums up what it says. To understand it, you must have been through a heart breaking relationship.
That's how I used to feel about a year and a half ago. Always wondered if that person ever felt the same, but now I have no love left for that person. This poem would be really touching for someone who just got out of a relationship.
